Today we got a jump on getting on the road, since we knew we had lots to do once we arrived in Goshen. We pulled out about 8AM. Traffic wasn't too bad, and we made good time, stopping at a rest area for lunch.Tony had checked the GPS and found it was going to take us to Fort Wayne, which was good because there was a Blue Beacon there where we could get the truck and Masmoth washed before we headed into Goshen. Unfortunately, around Indianapolis, the GPS changed get tune and told us to go up Hwy 33, which was not interstate. Big mistake! We drove in "local traffic" for a while, then 2 lane roads with periodic small towns. Not our preferred route. And thus, no rig washing.
Oh well, we got to Goshen and into the fairgrounds about 2:30pm. First stop was the free laser alignment check. We checked out at less than 1/4" off, so we think we are in good shape. We have had no issues, but it's always good to check!
We had a fairly easy time backing in, our site was not too narrow. :)
Once set up and kitties were freed, we had to go to a meeting at 4pm Regarding our assisting with the Rally Seminar Presentations. I also had some work that needed to be done, so after our meeting and a little visiting, we went for a bike ride around the park. There are nearly 250 rigs here, spread out all over the fairgrounds.
Wow, Indiana is nice in the spring! Temps have been in the 70s and 80s, and it doesn't get dark until nearly 10.
After visiting a bit, we came back and I got some work files I'll have to work on tomorrow, while Tony helps with the seminars.
